Firstly, Are you sure you have the Microsoft Sidewinder Forcefeedback 2. It's a Large heavy joystick that plus into the mains and has a USB connection. On the base there are 4 grey buttons and a grey \"Throttle\" lever.
4 Buttons at the front of the handle plus a trigger on the back of the handle.
If so try the following:-
Right Click MyComputer
Manage
Device Manager
Click the + next to Human Interface Devices
Select the Game Device - in my case it's named Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2
Right click
Update Driver
Install from a specific location
Dont search, I will choose the driver to install
Have disk
Now navigate to the files downloaded from driver guide
The device works with Combat Flight Simulator as well as Flight Simulator
